New Beginnings for Tomorrow (NB4T) program will continue to prepare our clients for the world that awaits them after the age of 21. We address critical areas of learning that will support our clients’ independence after they are no longer under the Department of Education’s umbrella. Areas such as functional life skills, daily living skills, and community based instruction are all essential components to our program that must continue beyond the schooling age. Many of our clients due to the nature of their disabilities require longer periods of time to obtain skills, retain information and generalize what they have learned across various settings. Therefore, the need to continue to providing services beyond the age of 21 is imperative.
Our philosophy at NB4T is to offer both full and part-time programs to help young men and women with Autism and developmental disabilities develop greater skills as independent adults. Programs will be individually designed with the client and parent or guardian when appropriate. Our community and employment focus will help those enrolled develop and increase their skills in meaningful and rewarding ways because everyone deserves a productive future, and a bright tomorrow.
New Beginnings for Tomorrow (NB4T) is committed to creating a bridge between the end of educational services and the beginning of adult life. The mission is to continue to educate not only the adults within the program but also the surrounding community as well. Together with the community, we can educate our adults with disabilities on how to navigate environments that are so challenging for them and strive towards creating an adult life that is productive, fulfilling and rewarding. Starting with a singular location as part of a day program for adults located within one of our current locations (New Beginnings, Glenview and Gramon School) we can begin the process of lifelong learning.
NB4T serves as a day habilitation program approved by the Division of Developmental Disabilities. We address critical areas of learning that will support our client’s level of independence. We believe by offering a collaborative environment that focuses on activities for daily living, community experiences and providing support for meaningful employment opportunities will give our adults a chance for enriched future. NB4T will operate between the hours of 9:00 am and 3:00 pm. NB4T will address the therapeutic needs of Adults with Autism and Developmental Disabilities by housing therapeutic recreational programs run by Art and Music Therapists as well as consult with Occupational, Physical, Speech and Behavior Therapists as necessary.
New Beginnings for Tomorrow is a day habilitation program, approved by the New Jersey Division of Developmental Disabilities.
