ABOUT US

THE MISSION

New Beginnings for Tomorrow (NB4T) is committed to supporting adults with disabilities from the end of educational services through adult life. The mission is to educate not only the adults within the program but also the surrounding community. With community support, we can teach our adults with disabilities how to navigate challenging environments and strive towards a productive, fulfilling and rewarding life.

ABOUT US

New Beginnings for Tomorrow (NB4T) program will continue to prepare our clients for the world that awaits them after the age of 21. We address critical areas of learning that will support our clients’ independence after they are no longer under the Department of Education’s umbrella. Areas such as functional life skills, daily living skills, and community based instruction are all essential components to our program that must continue beyond the schooling age. Many of our clients due to the nature of their disabilities require longer periods of time to obtain skills, retain information and generalize what they have learned across various settings. Therefore, the need to continue to providing services beyond the age of 21 is imperative.

THE PROGRAM

NB4T serves as a day habilitation program approved by the Division of Developmental Disabilities. We address critical areas of learning that will support our client’s level of independence. We believe by offering a collaborative environment that focuses on activities for daily living, community experiences and providing support for meaningful employment opportunities will give our adults a chance for enriched future. NB4T will operate between the hours of 9:00 am and 3:00 pm. To greatly improve employment opportunities, NB4T has constructed the "Shop for Tomorrow" grocery store, a vocational kitchen, the "Just Delicious" restaurant, and greenhosue. Clients can train in these onsite locations to prepare for careers in the community.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Our philosophy at NB4T is to offer both full and part-time programs to help young men and women with Autism and developmental disabilities develop greater skills as independent adults. Programs will be individually designed with the client and parent or guardian when appropriate. Our community and employment focus will help those enrolled develop and increase their skills in meaningful and rewarding ways because everyone deserves a productive future, and a bright tomorrow.
